Perhaps if there's enough interest in this series, I might even be willing to consider throwing in a gift certificate to the best stories from time to time. So what are you waiting for? Share the love, share the ideas and lets make the world a little bit brighter and cheerier. Would you be more interested in participating if I were to work out some type of contest? Do tell, won't you? Technorati Tags : anniversary, stories, real+stories, contests
The country music star flew Down Under on Tuesday to be reunited with his wife of six months. It is the first time the couple have been back in Sydney together since their romantic June wedding and will no doubt bring back happy memories for them both. The pair, who are based in Nashville, were spotted holding hands as they left a film studio in the city before being driven away in a blacked-out car.
It is believed Keith, 39, has now completed addiction treatment in the US after a drinking relapse prompted him to seek help. Nicole has been in Sydney spending time with her family and enjoying outings to the theatre in the run-up to Christmas as well as working on her new film Australia with co-star Hugh Jackman and renowned director Baz Luhrman. I certainly hope things begin to improve for this couple and hope their first wedding anniversary in June brings with it more peace and happiness. What a terrible way to spend the first six months of your marriage. Article source Technorati Tags : nicole+kidman, keith+urban, wedding+anniversary, sydney
E! News anchor Giuliana DePandi is engaged to Bill Rancic, the first-season winner of NBC's "The Apprentice." The couple became engaged Friday, John Rizzotti, a representative for E! Entertainment Television, told The Associated Press on Monday. They have been dating since April.
"At first I thought Bill was surprising me with a helicopter ride over downtown Chicago to see the Christmas lights, then suddenly he pulled out the most beautiful ring I have ever seen and asked me to marry him," DePandi, 31, said in a statement on the E! News Web site. "I was so excited I could barely speak."
They plan to tie the knot late next year in the south of Italy, Rizzotti said. It will be the first marriage for both. What a wonderful time to create an anniversary to look back on. I'm sure she'll remember his proposal with great fondness every holiday.

Things Remembered awarded bride-to-be Michelle Prewitt and fiance Jon Rogowski of Griffith a $20,000 check as the winners of its national wedding sweepstakes. The check presentation was held earlier this month at Westfield Southlake Mall.
Prewitt's mother entered her into the contest at the local Things Remembered store in Hobart and Michelle was selected through a random computer drawing. The Things Remembered national wedding sweepstake ran from May 16 through Aug. 31, 2006. Participants 18 years or older and engaged at the time of entry were able to register on-line or at a Things Remembered store to win $20,000 toward their dream wedding. No purchase was necessary and both the bride and groom were eligible to enter.
The happy couple has known each other since high school and has been engaged since June, 2005. Both were amazed and excited to hear the fabulous news of their prize. Michelle Prewitt called it a 'Christmas came early story' for she and Rogowski.
Prewitt and her fiance plan to save the $20,000 prize for a down payment on a house.
Their wedding is set for Sept. 22, 2007. Needless to say, the bride and groom plan to purchase Things Remembered products for their special day.
Things Remembered, based in Highland Heights, Ohio, is a chain of more than 600 personalized gift stores in 47 states. Technorati Tags : wedding, christmas, things+remembered, sweepstakes, prize

Something about Christmas puts Dean McDermott and Tori Spelling in the mood for matrimony. McDermott first proposed on Christmas Eve in 2005 (he and Spelling wed in Fiji in May) and this Dec. 25, on their own anniversary, he popped the question again. The couple, who are expecting a son in the spring, spent the holiday in McDermott's native Canada, and McDermott, 40, took Spelling, 33, to a romantic spot overlooking Lake Ontario "under the guise of getting away from all the Christmas craziness," he tells PEOPLE exclusively. "We sat on a bench overlooking the lake and I gave Tori her last Christmas present" – an antique platinum ring with an Edwardian oval-shaped sapphire from Neil Lane. "I'd wrapped the ring in a much bigger box, and as soon as she opened the ring box I asked her to marry me again. It was very romantic and magical." It's hard to come by someone who is quite this romantic - but what a way to celebrate their one year anniversary! Priceless Technorati Tags : dean+mcdermott, tori+spelling, anniversary

When 15-year-old Daisy first caught 17-year-old John’s eye, she was standing on her head at a family party. John and Daisy’s mothers worked together in London, so the families were often thrown together for social events. “She was very cheeky,” John Humphreys, 98, recalled of the first meeting of his wife of 75 years. “She was full of life.”
“I had my eye on him,” Daisy, 95, said with a twinkle in her eye. “He was handsome, really handsome. I think he is now, too.”
Today, the Humphreys celebrate their 75th wedding anniversary. The couple have lived in Corvallis for three years, but their romance first blossomed in the English countryside, where the tom-boy and the nature-lover became frequent companions.
On their first date, John took Daisy to the cinema to see the silent film “Moby Dick,” starring John Barrymore. Continue reading John and Daisy's story here... Technorati Tags : wedding+anniversary, 75th+anniversary
This is quite possibly the saddest story I've ever read... A 25-year-old woman who occasionally visited Utah schools to discourage children from using drugs died hours after her wedding, her husband said. Jennifer Ann Bennett Goodall and Doug Goodall were married Saturday. Not only will this couples wedding anniversary be marked with such saddness, but so will the Christmas holidays. Heaven must have really wanted that Angel. Technorati Tags : wedding, anniversary, utah, goodall

Not only is a wedding anniversary a day to celebrate the marital history of couples who've committed to one another - it's also a time to relax and thank the heaven's that they're not having to endure the stresses of their wedding day ever again... Having just read this article on Wedding Day Stress, it reminds me of just how much I love being married and celebrating our Anniversary as opposed to the stresses leading up to that wedding. The wedding day is considered to be the happiest day of many people's lives. It also ranks as one of the most stressful. Invitations. Flowers. Catering. Dresses and tuxedoes. The reception.
Putting on a big show - bigger than the Oscars, bigger than the Super Bowl.
But ultimately, according to Dr. Dan Clement, associate professor of psychology at Argosy University/Dallas, the most important thing to concentrate on is not the size of the wedding cake or the color of flowers - it is the goal of committing to the person you love. Along with all of the anxiety about the ceremony, "It is common for the bride or groom to have some moments of realization about what they are about to do. The pre-marriage jitters are pretty common," says Dr. Clement. Engaged people often have certain emotionally-charged questions that bloom in their minds as the wedding day approaches. "I wonder if I can really give up my search for the perfect match, now that I am getting married?" "What if they suddenly change, and show me a side of themselves I haven't seen?" "Is my spouse really going to fit in next Christmas when my whole family gathers?" Continue reading this article... Technorati Tags : wedding, stress, anniversary

The best ways to say "I love you" are usually in simple, everyday, seemingly unimportant ways. Leo Buscaglia, who wrote and taught about love, said "Words and deeds that say 'You enrich my life' go on forever." Here are some suggestions to get your own creative juices flowing so that your love for one another will go on forever. - Make sure you say "I Love You" at least once each day to your spouse.
- Write unexpected love notes.
- Give your mate an unexpected hug, a surprisingly romantic kiss, or a teasing tickle often.
- Be spontaneous and surprising with winking at each other, whisking your spouse away for an unexpected weekend alone, star-gazing together, taking a walk in the rain with one another.
- Share memories by looking at old photographs and talking about memories you share together.
- Schedule a day to just be leisurely together.
- Listen.
- Share why you love your spouse.

5. CHRISTINA & JORDAN - Their one-year wedding anniversary To celebrate their one-year wedding anniversary, Aguilera, 26, and Bratman, 29, booked a return trip in November to Dublin, Ireland, where the couple first got engaged. Bratman reportedly filled the couple's hotel room with pink and red balloons and roses, recreating the scene of their engagement. 4. JENNIFER & MARC - Their onstage duet Two years after their secret wedding ceremony in June 2005, Lopez, 37, and Anthony, 38, are beginning to offer the public a glimpse inside their marriage. At Anthony's Madison Square Garden concert in August, Lopez joined her husband onstage to sing the tender ballad "No Me Ames" to end the show. When asked what makes their personal and professional collaborations work, Anthony revealed, "Just simple love." 3. EVA & TONY - Her lucky number in love Longoria, 31, wears her love for fianc´ NBA star Tony Parker, 24, on her sleeve – and everywhere else. She sported his San Antonio Spurs jersey number all over the place, from the diamond "9" pendant Parker gave her last Christmas to her customized T-Mobile Sidekick II with the digit in silver crystals. It must have been a good-luck charm: Parker surprised the Desperate Housewife in November with a candlelit proposal – and a 5-carat-plus emerald-cut diamond ring. 2. ANGELINA & BRAD - Her b-day gift to him What do you get a movie star birthday boy who has everything? It's a dilemma Angelina Jolie, 31, knows well. "He's so hard to buy for," Jolie, 31, has said of boyfriend Brad Pitt (who turns 43 on Dec. 18). She settled on a fitting choice: A trip to Frank Lloyd Wright's masterpiece, Fallingwater, where it seemed to even snow on cue, creating a winter wonderland for the couple's tour. 1. TOM & KATIE - Their wedding ceremony After famously debuting their romance in Rome in April 2005, it was only fitting that Cruise, 44, and Holmes, 28, would return to Italy to marry, in true fairytale fashion. Their Nov. 18 nuptials, held at a 15th century castle in Bracciano, Italy, lived up to all the hype, with 150 guests (including Will Smith, Brooke Shields and Victoria Beckham), 400 feet of crinoline and tulle (in Holmes's Armani wedding gown), and a dramatic fireworks display to cap things off. Unfortunately we are looking back on an anniversary of a different kind in the coming year. The loss of the World's Princess. If only she'd lived, we'd likely be celebrating her wedding anniversary to Dodi Al-Fayed rather than mourning her loss. Just released: Dodi Al-Fayed and Diana, Princess of Wales, chose an engagement ring together which he bought for her hours before they were both killed in a car crash in Paris, French jeweller Repossi said, in its first detailed public comment on the purchase. The renowned jeweller said it was making the statement to refute numerous articles in the press which alleged that Al-Fayed had bought the ring for another woman. The company said it had not made the information public earlier on the advice of its lawyers. "In August 1997, Mr Dodi Al-Fayed and Princess Diana went to the Repossi boutique in Monte Carlo, where they chose a ring," the jeweller said in a statement. The billionaire son of Harrods owner Mohammed Al-Fayed "wanted the ring to be ready by August 30, 1997, at the latest. The Repossi workshops are usually shut during that period but they nevertheless altered the ring to the right size", the statement said. Is there really anything worse than a man forgetting his wedding anniversary? We all know it's bound to happen. We all know men don't retain dates like women do. In fact, I'm married to a man who doesn't even know the birthday of either of his parents. So why should his forgetting an anniversary surprise me? Well, to be honest, he hasn't forgotten an anniversary just yet, but we've only been married for three years. I know his time is coming! It always does - right? So what's your take on men forgetting their anniversaries? Should women remind them ahead of time that it's approaching? How about informing a close friend or family member to put the bug in your spouses ear? What's a girl to do?

How did Tony Parker's Nov. 30 marriage proposal to Eva Longoria go down? "It was a big surprise!" Longoria tells PEOPLE in its new issue. "I was heading home from a long day on the (Desperate Housewives) set. He had been playing in Utah, so I was just shocked to see him in L.A. I thought it was so weird, sort of, 'Why are you here? What's going on? Oh my God! It's happening!' " There at Longoria's home in the early-morning hours, surrounded by rose petals and candles, Parker fell to one knee "I'm a traditional guy," he says and, having already told both of their families, popped the question. "I cried my eyes out," says Longoria. "I was mostly touched by how nervous he was. I was like, 'You know I'm going to say yes. Why are you so nervous?' But I guess every man gets nervous at that point." No way, says Parker: "I knew it was right. We've been talking for months about it, and I just knew. It was time." What a beautiful proposal by such a handsome, romantic and traditional man. I wonder if he will be the type to follow tradition when it comes to celebrating their wedding anniversary each year? I'm dying to see the ring. Anyone seen photos floating around of it yet? Technorati Tags : eva+longoria, tony+parker, engagement, proposal, anniversary

I just read earlier today that Michael Bolton and Nicollette Sheridan are finally planning their wedding for sometime in 2007. Though they are hoping it will be much less worthy of paparazzi than the wedding of Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes, I'm sure the Desperate Housewives star will be quite a draw in her wedding day extravaganza. 2007 is sure to be a good year for weddings and babies on the set of Desperate Housewives!
