Is there really anything worse than a man forgetting his wedding anniversary?

We all know it's bound to happen.  We all know men don't retain dates like women do.   In fact, I'm married to a man who doesn't even know the birthday of either of his parents.  So why should his forgetting an anniversary surprise me?

Well, to be honest, he hasn't forgotten an anniversary just yet, but we've only been married for three years.  I know his time is coming!  It always does - right?

So what's your take on men forgetting their anniversaries?  Should women remind them ahead of time that it's approaching?  How about informing a close friend or family member to put the bug in your spouses ear?
